Here are some pic's of the mock up of my 36 Ford Truck. I have shortened the frame 8"s. Narrowed and boxed the rear frame and kicked them up a little. I've got more pictures but not on this computer.
I figure that if I live another 5 years I might actually get to drive it as I only work on it a couple hours on the weekends

Thanks, but actually I am self taught. I have to say the HTP200 welder is a nice machine and makes it easy and produces some nice welds.

Well thork,I just took a course in pipefitting to learn tig and arc welding,Ive been migging since they came out a long long time ago,your welds look professional,every bit as good as mine...I'd have no problem getting in that truck at all.I'm sure you've seen the do it yourself welds that look like they were thrown on....You got any P&B experiance? This cant be your first build,its to nice,I thought you did this for a living

Being that I have no idea what P&B means I guess I probably don't. This is my first pre war build I have had Gassers and muscle cars plus tri fives.
This is the first car I have cut up and am gluing back together. It sure keeps the wheels turning in my head. I try to do alot of research, and the information over on the HAMB has helped alot. I appreciate the compliments.
I noticed you have a Camaro or maybe Firebird in your place with the rear quarter cut out. I have one in my garage that belongs to a friend that needs the same exact panel. I would be interested in seeing how you put that back together. If you wouldn't mind sharing pic's and or no how.

LOL,Paint and body work,I've seen many quarters really messed up by the wrong placement of the seam layout is everything the seam has to be stepped,then the panel must be removed and replaced many many times before you strike an arc,drill screws are a life saver... lets see about some pics ,this camero got frame rails and everything I rescued it from the drag strip its a 69 SS/RS 396 camero took five years so far

Man that thing looks nice. I assume you are talking about a flange made with something like a pnuematic flange tool with the a punch on the other side of the head. I bought on one of those at Harbor Freight to install a floor pan patch in the same Camaro never thought of it to do a panel.

thats the one,I use it every time i make a seam...I think I messed something up ...I sent you some detailed information on installing a quarter panel,did you see it anywhere?Anyways anything you want to know just ask,its why I'm here

That frame looks like it'll handle 2000 HP You racing it? Now I've got a question for you...You got any extra rear fenders?

I have some pic's of the front but they are too big for the site. I will take some more this week end and post them. I do not have an extra frame but, I see them for sale quite often. I beleive they are pretty much the same from 35-39. Car and PU truck are also the same frame.
I have a rough set of Steel (original)fenders and also, a set of Fiberglass Fenders. I am going to play with the steel fenders to widen and tub for my Fruck. The Glass were re-glassed and need some standard sanding and forming work. I bought them off of E-Gay. I was going to cut them up and make them wider but right now I have my little hands full. Steel Fenders in any shape are very pricey around $250 for a banged up ripped single fender. It would be a good part to re-pop in my opinion.
2,000 HP, not me I don't have that lind of money. I have a little 289 I am putting in it, but you never know what you might run across.
