I think I was 4-5 yrs old when I started following dad around the garage,my son on the other hand has no intrest in building or fixing them I tried to incourage him but he just wants to drive cool cars you cant force them,I have some very fond memories of my dad and I working on cars,its the only time we ever really got along,theres nothing like fixing an old car to close the generation gap,heck sometimes we have three generations all working together and having the greatest time, let the kids come to you,but incourage any interests they may have,for instance my boy (now 25) loved drawing cars so I always kept him in all the drawing tools he needed now he's pretty amazing at drawing ,he's a chief but I keep telling he go go into some kind of design work.my 10 yr old grand son on the other hand has the interest, he's always calling me up asking if I need any help in the woodshop or working on tha cars,were building a little gokart and its like the night before christmas for him.Were very close also. my two year old grand daughter just LOVES cars, everything about them she always has... so it just goes to show......you never know???????? sorry about the novel but kids really make my world go around,not just mine ether....All kids
